TIDE OUT AT THE BREAKWATER
16 August 2016
Southwick Beach, Shoreham, Sussex
Southwick Beach. Grey skies on a dreary August afternoon.
Shoreham is an odd place. The River Adur meets the sea at Shoreham and there's the industry of a busy south coast harbour adjacent to holiday beaches with families playing in the sea.
I took this photo on Southwick Beach which is at the Portslade end of Shoreham-by-Sea. Many photographers visit the beach here to capture the groynes, sea defences and outfalls. It’s a regular haunt for weekend photographers. Search for Basin Road South.
Visit Carats Café while you're there!
